A prayer for the vacancy

God of vision and hope,
we thank you for all who have ministered here throughout the history of this church.
In this time of vacancy,
may we continue to grow in love,
share in responsibility,
and seek your vision for our future,
in the name of Jesus Christ, our shepherd and our guide.
Amen.

Co-Wheels car returns to its slot in the  Coach House car park

For instructions on joining the club see the QR code on the colourful new sign. NB:  It is really important that car club members  find the Co-Wheels bay empty so that they can return the car  and be on their way, knowing that the next member who has booked the car can find it ready and waiting.  Hilary Rollin for Eco Group

This week’s Eco Tip

Reasons for wasting both food prepared at home, and ready meals: 1. Too much was served. Solutions? Bear in mind personal likes and dislikes. Consider perceived (in)edibility. Solutions? Prepare/ serve a suitable amount; put aside leftovers for another day or freeze. 2.Food looked unappetizing or off/ had passed the date on the label. Solutions? More care needs to be taken over food preparation. Consider impact of food waste. Store food correctly. Bear in mind the difference between a) Best before date (quality/appearance might alter over time) and b) Use by date (issue of safety/food could go ‘off’ after a certain date) Hilary Rollin, Eco Church Group.
