A prayer for the vacancy

God of vision and hope,
we thank you for all who have ministered here throughout the history of this church.
In this time of vacancy,
may we continue to grow in love,
share in responsibility,
and seek your vision for our future,
in the name of Jesus Christ, our shepherd and our guide.
Amen.

Eco Tips

Gas and electricity consumption should be dropping in the warm weather, but there’s a chance of pruning the bills further by reducing the length of time* that the water is heating. Or, as one astute member of the congregation pointed out, if you have an immersion heater, why not use that in the summer months, reducing your use of gas? *But, avoid reducing the setting to the extent that the water in the tank falls beneath 60º, which could increase the risk of Legionella bacteria growth, a cause Legionnaires’ disease.
