Warm Soup for the winter

The Gatehouse supports adults aged 25+ who are homeless, vulnerably housed, on low income and/or looking for company and community. Holy Trinity will again be providing soup for the Gatehouse – if you are able to make one or more batches of 2 litres of vegetarian soup on Sunday 8 February, please let Monika Blackwell know (mdblackwell@hotmail.com or 07880 797009).
On Sunday 1 February I will leave some freezer bags, labels and instructions at the back of church. If you are unable to collect them please let me know and I will drop them off. Thank you – this nourishing and warming soup is very welcomed. Monika Blackwell (0)7880 797009

Sunday 25th January, after the service Richard Churchill will be leading an informal discussion in the meeting room on his poetry collection Sketches from a Curious Mind. All are very welcome, whether you have already read the book or are simply curious to learn more about it and the ideas behind it. Copies will be available to purchase on the day for those who wish to do so. If interested please speak to Richard for more details.

David Kiggell sadly died at Sobell House after a short illness on Sunday January 4th. Many will know him as a regular member of our 10am Sunday morning congregation, and for laying our Poppy wreath at the war memorial on Remembrance Sunday. Our love and prayers for Anne, their sons Tom and Ben and family at this time.
David’s funeral will be here at Holy Trinity on Saturday 24th January at 10.30am. All are welcome.

If you are able to it would help the church funds if you could donate to the refreshment fund each week by either putting money in the jar or by using the card machine. Thank you.

Community Café every Tuesday 9.30 – 11.30am in the meeting room in church. An intergenerational space for parents/carers to spend time with their younger ones, meet up with people of all ages over a cup of tea/ coffee etc Toys available for preschool age children and toddlers.

New cleaners still needed

Would you like to help keep the church clean and tidy? You would be joining a team of three who clean about once every 4 or 5 weeks on a Friday or Saturday at your convenience. It isn’t terribly arduous and can be very sociable! If you are interested please speak to Janet Masters.

New PCC and Deanery Synod members will be needed at the end of April when these positions become vacant as people step down at the end of their term. Please speak to either Wardens or Revd Martin to find out more about these roles if you’re interested in this ministry.

Flower fund

If you would like to remember a loved one or celebrate a special anniversary or birthday by giving money for the flowers on a particular Sunday, Margaret Woodcock and the flower team would love to hear from you. office@hthq.uk  Thank you .
