Shelagh Borden

It’s with sadness that we’ve been told by Iain, Shelagh’s son that she has died at the care home where she has been living with her husband Tony. Shelagh was a much loved member of our congregation, giving her time and talents in so many ways. She always planted up the tubs of plants at the Coach house and Vicarage and was a great supporter of the Church fetes. Those of us lucky to know her will also remember the many times we bumped into her in Headington as she was out walking one of the many retired Labrador Guide Dogs she gave a loving home to. Her funeral details to follow, but our thoughts and prayers are with Tony and all her family.

Coach house car park 15th September will be closed from 5pm onwards for the Installation Service. There are two disabled spaces reserved but otherwise can we ask that you park in the road. Thank you.

This week’s Eco Tip

September 13-20 is Climate and Nature Lobby Week, with its slogan ‘Act Now, Change Forever’. Whether or not you plan to lobby your MP, or you may already have done so, the start of the new school year is a great opportunity for us to review our commitment to climate and nature, to a healthier and fairer future, and resolve to stick to that decision. Why not start with a commitment to waste less- buy better and less frequently? Hilary Rollin, Eco Church Group
