Cake Donations would be welcome for the after-concert tea on March 7th.  We would like to make this a special occasion with this wonderful violinist. Cakes or savouries can be brought on the day, or I can arrange for them to be left at the Coach House on the Friday morning (6th) with the WI ladies. Contact Margaret Taylor 01865 765051 if needed.

World Day of Prayer Friday 6 March

This day (formerly Women’s World Day of Prayer) has been celebrated annually for nearly one hundred years, and is now observed in nearly every country of the world. A service is written by a different country each year, so as the earth spins, the same prayers are said over 24 hours by thousands of people around the globe. More details at wwdp.org.uk This year the Headington service, which has been written by the women of Nigeria, will be held at Holy Trinity at 11am, followed by a shared light lunch. If you are able, please come.
The service is led by many readers, and we will need people to help with hospitality – welcoming, setting out lunch, and clearing away. If you are able to help in any of these ways, please contact me. Joan Jones 07710611250 joan@joneses.org.uk

This week’s Eco Tip

It’s time to think of Lent vows. Remembering the three Rs of Lent: Reflection, Repentance, Reconciliation, can you think of suitable vows? A fast focused on justice, compassion, and liberation? Giving food to the homeless? Pledging to care for Creation?  Enhancing our surroundings with daily litter picks?  Hilary Rollin, Eco Church Group
