Church building project

Thank you for your interest in our church building project. You can find out more about our plans to develop our building in the leaflet below.

The first phase of the work began in January 2021, with essential electrical rewiring, new lighting, an upgrade to our sound system and redecoration of the church interior. We hope this will greatly enhance the experience of all who visit our building, and generate enthusiasm for the next phase of work! We are very grateful to the Friends of Holy Trinity, who are the principal donor for the lighting and redecoration work.

Planning permission for the North Side extension was renewed in November 2020, and we have now achieved over 50% of our fundraising target figure, thanks to the generosity of all who have donated and pledged funds towards the project, including our congregation, PCC, and grant bodies including: the Oxford Diocesan Development Fund, Oxfordshire Historic Churches Trust and the All Churches Trust.

We have produced a fundraising brochure and a video tour of our church, focused in particular on our connection with C.S. Lewis.

The brochure is available to download here

Please don’t hesitate to contact the Vicar or the Churchwardens if you have any questions about the project. If you would like to donate towards the project, you can do so here by clicking on the red Donate button

Lighting

The PCC are currently considering plans to phase the building works, with the lighting and other electrical wiring taking place before the other work. You can view one proposed lighting scheme here, designed by Light Perceptions Ltd. If you have any comments or questions about the plans, please contact Laura or the churchwardens.
