9am Morning Prayer: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday when the Vicar is available. The Church is normally open for private prayer every day during daylight hours.
Wednesday 10am Midweek Communion
No 8am service during August
We have made the decision to pause this service over the month of August. The Wednesday 10am communion provides an alternative quieter service in the week. If regulars would like a Book of Common Prayer service during this time, there is a weekly 8am BCP at St Andrew’s, Headington.
TODAY! Walk to Wheatley Windmill
(see: wheatleymill.co.uk)
If you didn’t sign up and would like to take part we have a couple of spaces. We shall leave The Plain (aka Shotover car park) at 12.15, each with a picnic, water, and sensible shoes (we need to be able to climb a ladder in the mill). There is no admission charge, but donations appreciated. Coffee/tea and cake can be bought. NB Some rough ground and some uphill walking involved, but we’ll avoid the footpath with flights of grassy steps. We anticipate being back at The Plain c5.30pm; buses also run (details on request.) To sign up, speak to Jan McLeod, Anthea Boylston, Margaret Samuel or Hilary Rollin before or immediately after church.
Today: Quarry Summer Fete 11am to 6pm, Quarry Village Hall.
Tonight: ’there are no ordinary people’ an intimate acoustic gig here at Holy Trinity 7-9pm. Please see the poster at the back of church.
Building Firm Foundations Appeal 2026
We launched an appeal last month to raise £100,000 by the end of 2026 toward our building loan and leaky roof. Thank you to all who have generously donated and/or pledged. Please continue to pray, and consider giving if you haven’t already.
Tuesday Community Cafe 9.30 – 11.30am
This will run up til the end of July, after which it is stopping to make space for new initiatives. Thanks to those who have supported it over the past couple of years.

Coach House Clear out and Deep Clean
Please come along on Thursday 23 July and help us do a deep clean of the Coach House and completely clear the Jackson Room. There are two slots: 3-5pm for those
available at that time, and 5-7pm for those who are at work during the day. Speak to Revd Martin for more info.
Eco Chats (previously mentioned as Open Eco meetings)

p.m; Tuesday 11th August 2.30-4.00. To book a place, speak to Jan McLeod, Anthea Boylston, Margaret Samuel or Hilary Rollin after church today or phone Hilary on 01865 761545. Venues shared when you sign up.
This week’s Eco Tip
Single-use plastic is visible everywhere, but can also be invisible, e.g. traces of microplastic accumulating in our bodies, even in our brains. We are warned not to put very hot food into plastic containers. Instead let food cool slightly first or use glass, ceramic or stainless steel for hot storage, or plastic containers labelled microwavesafe. (Hilary Rollin, Eco Church Group)

someone? We rely on you to let us know of anyone who is ill, or in hospital or who might welcome a visit from a member of the team. Please contact the clergy or the Parish Office in the first instance.
