Retreat at the Old Parsonage FREELAND Oxford – 2026
Monday 6th July to Thursday 9th July Title: Place your eyes before the mirror of eternity. Led by Helen Stanton Cost £ 225.00
The retreat is based upon the premise that from icons and nature to other visual stimuli, as we pay close attention to what is created, we will find that God is gazing lovingly back at us. We will spend time thinking about what lies behind this premise, and looking at icons, nature and paintings or sculpture. No previous experience of the art world is required.
Booking forms and further details for these retreats are available from Revd Jean King on oxfordretreat@yahoo.co.uk
32 Ambleside Drive, Headington, Oxford OX3 0AQ.

This week’s Eco Tip

Planning to go away this summer? Don’t advertise your absence by leaving a vast array of lights on day and night. Would-be burglars won’t be fooled by that. A timer switch or two, appropriately set, makes sense, and won’t land you with a crippling electricity bill. NB Outside lights left on at night are detrimental to the wildlife that you are probably trying to encourage. Hilary Rollin (Eco Church Group)

Wood Farm Fete, Sat 18 July 2-5pm
