Forest Sunday School is on its summer break. Children are invited to stay in the service, or families may use the Meeting Room if a break-out space would be helpful. Midweek Services

Justyna Zanko Solo Violin Concert, Thursday 24 September, 7pm
Following her dazzling recital last year, Polish violin virtuoso Justyna is returning to HTHQ. She will be performing J.S. Bach’s Partita in D minor BWV 1004, and Prokofiev’s Sonata for Solo Violin in D major, Op. 115. £10 suggested donation on the door, split between the performer and the church. Includes soft drinks after the performance.
Macmillan Coffee Morning
The annual coffee morning to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Care is on Friday September 25th. I shall be holding a coffee morning and Bring and Buy sale that morning between 10 am and 12 pm at 3 Barton Road, Headington, OX3 9JB. Please come and support this excellent cause. Sheila Allcock.

Wheatley Windmill Walk

This week’s Eco Tip
We’re now in Creationtide or Season of Creation; this year’s theme for Creationtide being Living Water (v. Ezekiel 47-1,1), we have an incentive to focus on reducing water use. Might you be heating water to too high a temperature, then cooling it with cold water? Do you run the tap while brushing your teeth or soaping your hands? While waiting for the shower to run hot, do you catch the cold water in a bucket for use on plants or for flushing the loo?
