Sunday services
8am Holy Communion – this is a quiet, prayerful service using the traditional language of the Book of Common Prayer. There are readings from the Bible and a sermon to help us reflect on those readings for our daily lives.
10am Parish Communion – this is our main Sunday service, with readings, prayers, a sermon and lots of music. There is a lively atmosphere, and children are very welcome. We also offer a Forest Sunday School for children if they wish to participate (with or without their parents) and we all join together for communion at the climax of the service. Refreshments are served so we can get to know one another after the service. This service is also broadcast to Radio Cherwell, our local hospital radio station, and special services can be live streamed. At key seasonal points in the year, we have a Family Service at 10am, where all the children and their families stay together for a special Holy Communion.
Sunday Evenings 6pm – About once a month we have an evening service, which varies from traditional Choral Evensong to seasonal celebrations, to more reflective and informal worship. See the latest notices for details.
Midweek services
Wednesday Communion 10am – a gentle service of communion for all who are free at this time of day. There are Bible readings, prayers and a short talk. Sometimes we will celebrate a particular saint’s feast day that occurs during the week. Refreshments are served afterwards.
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday – Morning Prayer 9am (when the Vicar is available) – anyone is welcome to join for 30 minutes of scripture, silence and prayer.
Holy Trinity is normally open every day of the year for quiet reflection during daylight hours.
